Greenwich Station reconstruction

Changes to facilitate DLR extension
Background

Docklands Light Railway (DLR) is being extended to Lewisham via Greenwich in time for the Millennium celebrations.

New stations are being built at Greenwich and Cutty Sark. The Greenwich Station will be adjacent to the existing railway station. In order to build this new station a new temporary footbridge has been constructed. The London bound platform was demolished to enable tunnelling to take place. This means that both tracks were using a single track and only the Dartford bound platform is used for both directions during the summer. There are some service alterations and delays may occur.

The London bound platform was reinstated in September 1997 - full details of timetable below.
