Hellenic Bank celebrations for the new Millennium

millenium.jpg (24020 bytes) Hellenic Bank has announced the creation of the the first TimeCapsule project to celebrate the new millennium in Cyprus and Greece.

"Hellenic Bank invites all Cypriots to participate in the TimeCapsule2000" a project that all Cypriots of all ages and educational backgrounds can afford to participate in including the Cypriot Diaspora and the Enclaved.

Who are the participants

This project is an opportunity for:

individuals

families

groups

schools

any other organisations

to record a glimpse of their daily lives in 1999, the year of the millennium countdown.

TimeCapsule 2000

2000 entries will be selected to form a multimedia CD-ROM time capsule which will be an electronic record of a glimpse of the daily lives of all Cypriot people in 1999, the year of the millennium countdown. It aims to provide living proof of their lives for the young and future generations in order to understand how people lived and have hard evidence to prove it.

The CD-ROM will be made available to the general public at cost at the end of the year. A master copy of the CD-ROM will be buried at a specially selected site in Nicosia together with a PC and will be unearthed in the year 2030.
