The P&O Cruises' superliners Oriana and Arcadia will sail into the 21st Century in style.
Applications are now being accepted for the priority registration for the Millennium cruises.
A £500 per person deposit is all that is required to secure your registration and you can make a firm booking when details of these celebration cruises are released later in the 1988.
To join the party which will not be repeated for another 1,000 years, P&O is advising those interested to register as soon as possible as these are sure to be the hottest tickets in town.
P&O has additional reasons to celebrate the arrival of the year 2000. In April that year, a new 76,000-ton will enter service and the highly acclaimed Oriana will celebrate her fifth birthday. Full Millennium fares and itineraries for Oriana and Arcadia are expected to be released in late June, 1998. At that stage those on the registration list will be asked to confirm their bookings and pay the normal 10 per cent deposit on the fare.

Sail into the the next century: For the first time in almost 25 years, a e cruise ship is to embark upon a voyage to Cape Town, South Africa, returning via East Africa and the Spice Islands of the Indian Ocean. A voyage made so often by her many famous predecessors. And now, for 750 fortunate passengers, the voyage of the century.
The Victoria, chosen by Union-Castle for her resemblance to the romantic "Mailships" of old, will be travelling to the imposing vistas of Table Mountain and the shores of Africa. Cruising across the deep, blue seas of the Indian Ocean, Victoria will be visiting an array of rare island treasures such as Nosy-Be and Mayotte, seldom ever seen on a modern cruise ship's itinerary.
And what better way for one of the most renowned names in shipping to celebrate its Centenary than by celebrating it with a ?
