Millennium Dome - Ticket system wanted

The New Millennium Experience Company (NMEC), organisers of the Millennium Dome at Greenwich, is seeking computer, telephony, IT and ticketing systems suppliers.

Advanced and innovative systems will be needed in order to handle the predicted 12 million visitors to the Greenwich site and all visitors to the Experience will be required to pre-book their tickets.

NMEC are particularly interested to hear from companies who are suppliers of the following services:

  • Integrated software systems
  • Computer and Telephonic hardware
  • Ticket Production equipment
  • Ticketing systems

Tickets for the UK's largest Millennium celebration will be obtainable from a variety of different sources. Not only will prospective visitors to the Experience be able to buy their tickets at over 25,000 National Lottery terminals, they can also buy through a dedicated call-centre, through on-line links with other established ticketing systems and via transport providers. The computer systems and software used will be crucial in making this system work on time and to budget.
