Attractive packages to visit Millennium Dome

Following the announcement of admission prices for entry to the Dome, travel and tour operators will be offering an opportunity for visitors from all parts of the country to buy excellent value travel packages, including entry ticket to the Dome. Admission to the Dome and transport to London with National Express from anywhere in the country will cost from UK£29.99 (c US$ 50).

Kevin Bennett, Director of Marketing and PR for National Express, said:

“National Express is pleased to be working with the Millennium Experience on this unique project. As Britain’s only nationwide scheduled operator of coach services we believe that National Express is ideally placed to deliver people from all over Britain to visit the Dome. We anticipate a lead package price of just £29.99 including admission to the Dome and return coach travel.”

Train operators (TOCS) will be working closely with the Millennium Experience in order to ensure discounted travel for visitors to the Dome in Greenwich, providing the most competitive packages. Specially discounted fares currently on offer include:

From Glasgow – London

  • £79.00 for four people travelling together with Virgin Trains (equal to £19.75 per person)
  • ScotRail will promote travel to the Dome, possibly in conjunction with their ‘Travel, Bed and Breakfast’ Sleeper and family fares. This would amount to as little as £25 per person each way Scotland – London.
  • £83.90 for two adults and three children, with a Family reduction card (equal to £16.78 each)

From Birmingham – London (Silverlink train services)

  • £28.00 return for four people travelling together (equal to £7 per person)
  • £26.40 for two adults and four children, with a Family reduction card (equal to £4.40 each)

From Hull – London (GNER)

  • £19.60 group rate for those up to 17 yrs inclusive (group of 10 or more)
  • £62.80 for two adults and three children, with a Family reduction card

From Newcastle – London (GNER)

  • £24.40 group rate for those up to 17 yrs inclusive (group of 10 or more)
  • £77.30 for two adults and three children, with a Family reduction card (equal to £15.46 each)

From Cardiff – London (First Great Western)

  • £13.70 group rate for those up to 17 yrs inclusive (group of 10 or more)
  • £46.90 for two adults and three children, with a Family reduction card (equal to £9.38 each)

From Bristol – London (First Great Western)

  • £11.45 group rate for those up to 17 yrs inclusive (group of 10 or more)
  • £39.00 for two adults and three children, with a Family reduction card (equal to £7.80)

From Falmouth – London (First Great Western)

  • £20.35 group rate for those up to 17 yrs inclusive (group of 10 or more)
  • £68.00 for two adults and three children, with a Family reduction card (equal to £13.60)

Ticket prices for flights to London from anywhere in the country are also good value for money

From Aberdeen/ Edinburgh/ Glasgow/ Belfast (easyjet)

  • Fly from Aberdeen/ Edinburgh/ Glasgow/ Belfast – London (Easyjet) from £29.00 (single fare)

Other UK Domestic

Domestic Shortbreak operators, have already put together a wide range of packages to accommodate the expected 12 million visitors to London.

Omega - £89.95 from anywhere in the country. This price includes admission to the Dome, overnight accommodation at a 3 or 4 star hotel, half board and return coach travel.

Superbreak - Packages include return standard class rail, overnight accommodation with breakfast and entry ticket to the Millennium Dome.
