Timecapsule 2000

: Canadians from coast to coast to coast are being asked to share their memories and impressions of what this millennium means to them. Almost anything goes ... a poem, song, short story, part of a diary, a cherished photo, grandpa Stan's war medals, Nana Lucille's special quilt, the signing of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement ... something of great historical significance or something that is close to the heart like the first harpoon that one of our students made. If you are new to digital technology, ask for help at your local school or Community Access Centre. People there can likely help you transfer your memories into digital form and send them on to the great folks at , the sponsors of this project. They will collect them and store them in a digital time capsule that we hope will be buried under an inukshuk to be built by Inuit in Ottawa on July 1st in the year 2000. From the in the .
