Charlton

Woolwich

With its famous army barracks going back through the centuries and its famous free car ferry across the River Thames.

Eltham

With its famous Palace going back to the 12th Century. Eltham is a thriving community.

Blackheath

A famous heath that has witnessed so many famous historical events. There is considerable amount of information about the history and community of Blackheath through the site.

Deptford

Next to Greenwich on the River Thames. A rich naval pedigree which is about to undergo consideration rejuvenation.

An insight into the rich local history of Deptford has been prepared by Andrew Wallis.

Thamesmead

A new community (with a lot of history) down-stream on the River Thames.
