1272 - 1307 King Edward I
- 1305 Eltham Palace originally built.
1307 - 1327 King Edward II
- 1314-17: Famine widespread in England
- 1326: Ottoman Empire founded
- 1327 Edward deposed after riots in the City of London
1327 - 1377 King Edward III
- 1334-51: Black (Bubonic) Plague kills c25 million people (half of Europe's population)
- 1337: Start of Hundred Years War between England and France
- 1340: First European Papermill opened
- 1375: Dutch Fisherman (William Benkelsoor) develops salted herring for use at sea
1377 - 1399 King Richard II
- 1380: Poll Tax introduced in England
- 1381: Peasant's Revolt - Wat Tyler encamped on Blackheath prior to marching on London.
- 1382: Vulgate Bible translated into English
- 1387: Geoffrey Chaucer writes The Canterbury Tales (the pilgrims travelled across Deptford Bridge)
