He is writing on a doctoral thesis concerning the history of the turn of the centuries (1500-1900). Its Perception and Impact on Western Societies.
My investigation aims to reconstruct the development of the phenomenon turn of the century", that started as an unnoticed step of counting and is now an event with amazing impact on cultural thought and action, provoking historical reviews, visions of the future, fear and hope or even concrete forms of future-oriented investment.
The variety of topics involved in that question, shortly outlined, ranges from apocalyptic expectation, the self-image of the Fin de Siècle culture to the forms of cyclical and linear thinking of time.
